 Murray Hall was previously Walstonburg United Methodist Church, built in 1934 in the town of Walstonburg, NC. The church closed its doors in  2005.  With the purchase  of the  existing building in 2015, it has been converted into a unique  event venue.  It boasts sixteen foot ceilings, eight incredible opalescent glass windows along the main hall and the original bell.  The hall has original pine heart floors an added tile multi-use space all covered with unique lighting fixtures.   In addition  to the inside space, the property has a professionally  landscaped back yard that  can be transformed into the setting of your choice.  We offer clients the chance to make the space their own. You have the opportunity to make it a complete do it yourself project or bring in outside consultants to help shape your perfect event.
 


Detail's

  • The main hall is 1200 sq ft.   One additional room in is the rear that is usually used for food set up and placement.
  • Full seating capacity with table and chairs is 100.
  •  (10) 60 inch round tables are provided with (10) chairs  provided for each.
  • A 200 sq foot tiled space is within the hall, that can be used as a dance floor or ceremony site, with seating capacity of 80.
  •  All other  items will have to be purchased through outside rental   companies such as additional chairs, tablecloths and tables.
 

Food

 Murray Hall is exclusive to Main Fare Catering, all food must go through Main Fare Catering.  No outside food is allowed, with the only exception being wedding cakes.
Please visit the website of www.mainfarecatering.com for menu ideas.  They offer full service catering, may it be a formal sit-down dinner or a relaxed buffet dinner.  Since all events  are different with menu choices and service levels, each event receives a custom price quote. 

Alcohol is permitted.  All alcohol must be purchased and brought in prior to the event by the customer,  Main Fare will handle and serve all alcohol during events.  A handling fee will apply that covers mixers, bartender labor and liability insurance.  No alcohol  will be or shall be sold on the premises.

All event rates are based on event time requirements and are handled  on an individual basis, so please inquire.
